A Word From Mrs. Rasmussen- Principal and Mrs.Putnam- Assistant Principal
Happy Spring, everyone!
It is hard to believe that it is April already and we are beginning our end of year preparations. With only 40 or so days left of school, there is sure a lot to fit in! Our dedicated teachers have been fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where your little ones are thriving. From imaginative play to hands-on learning activities, we're committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience that sparks curiosity and ignites a love for learning. As partners in your child's education journey, we encourage open communication and collaboration and we thank all parents and guardians who came to parent-teacher conferences last week. Together, we can continue to support and inspire our young learners to reach their fullest potential. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's growth and development. Here's to another month of exploration, discovery, and growth and an amazing end to our school year!!

Teacher Appreciation Week
This year, teacher’s appreciation week is May 5-9th and we are making a special effort this year to express our appreciation for all our teachers and staff!
There are a few things you can do at home to help us celebrate!
We would love to collect homemade cards and/or heartfelt notes for all our teachers! If you and/or your child would like to send in a note or card, please be sure it is clearly addressed to the staff member of your choice. You or your child can drop off letters/cards in the office anytime between NOW and May 5th! Please do not deliver to teachers YET!
We will be running a fun game show for staff this week as well! As a part of the game, staff will receive prizes and treats each day. We are looking for gift card donations in any amount, as well as treats (candy, snacks, etc). If you would like to donate either, please drop off in the office by April 30th. E-gift cards could also be purchased and sent to mrasmussen@nrsd.org .
THANK YOU! 🙂

TES Health Office News
April 2025
Kindergarten & Fourth-grade families
All kindergarten & 4th graders are required by Massachusetts State Law to have documentation of a recent physical exam. Please make sure to send in a copy of your K/4th-grade student’s physical exam as they have them throughout the school year.
Reminder: The deadline for fourth grade physicals is MAY 1st. Please send your child’s physical in by the deadline so they can participate in the spring field trip.
Students with Screening Referrals
Please also send back the screening referral when they have been seen by a specialist. If you need another copy of the referral I can provide you with one.
Attendance/Absences
Please remember that medically related absences (illness or appointments) can only be excused if a doctor’s note is received by the school or the student was dismissed by the nurse. Calling your student out sick to the nurse does not excuse their absence. Protocol for Exclusion of Ill Student
TICKS- As the weather warms and we spend more time outdoors, ticks will be out again, too. Please check yourself and your children for ticks after playing outside in grassy, brushy, or wooded areas. Remove any attached ticks as soon as possible. For more information on ticks and tick prevention, go to: www.mass.gov/service-details/tick-borne-disease-information-for-the-public
COUGH/THROAT DROPS- Cough drops are not safe for elementary students to have at school. Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle to drink during the day.
