February Newsletter

  1. SaveSum Banking: Student banking continues at TES on Tuesday mornings. It is not too late to sign your child up for a savings account for banking at school.  Students who participate in banking will have a chance to spin the prize wheel when they make a deposit.  Please see the flyer below for more information.

  1. Parent-Teacher Conferences- Spring Conferences- Believe it or not, conferences are right around the corner on March 25, 26 and 27th.  These dates will be half-days for students. The link to sign up for conferences will be sent out in early March.

  1. Under the Sea Title I Night- Please see the flyer for our Annual Title I Literacy Night!

  1. Assessment Data & Early Literacy Letters- Students have just completed their MOY (Middle of year) STAR assessment for reading and math, as well as DIBELS testing in grades K-3. Early Literacy letters with updated information on whether your child will be receiving literacy interventions were sent home before break. To understand more about how your child is scored, the percentage indicates where your child is performing compared to peers in their grade level.  For example, if your child is in the 40th percentile, that means they performed better than 40 percent of their peers.  More specific information will be shared at spring conferences.  If you ever have any questions on how your child is doing, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

  1. SchoolStore Fundraiser: We will be kicking off this fundraiser on Tuesday, 2/25 and it will end on 3/7.  Students will receive a fundraiser packet to bring home.  All you need to do is register your child on their website or using the QR code and send the information via email to family and friends and your child will automatically receive a prize! Additional prizes are awarded for orders made through their account! Let’s raise money to help defray the costs of busses and field trips this year!! See the letter below from the SchoolStore company:
