Dear Templeton Elementary Parents & Guardians,
Welcome Zoe Cohen!
My name is Zoe Cohen, I am student teaching under Mrs. McKean with the music program here at Templeton Elementary this Spring. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as I will be working with the students here until May 28th, and am excited to learn and grow alongside them.
I am currently in the last semester of completing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Music Education degree at UMass is a licensure program, so this Spring I will be completing the final steps to get my Massachusetts teaching license in K-12 Music. I am excited to get to know the students and you all more throughout the semester.

Let’s Skate Event:
As a reminder, this event is NOT a drop off event. Parents/Guardians must be present. Students should come prepared with proper safety gear and warm clothing!
TES Health Office News
April 2024
Kindergarten & Fourth-grade families
All kindergarten & 4th graders are required by Massachusetts State Law to have documentation of a recent physical exam. Please make sure to send in a copy of your K/4th-grade student’s physical exam as they have them throughout the school year.
Students with Screening Referrals
Please also send back the screening referral when they have been seen by a specialist. If you need another copy of the referral I can provide you with one.
Attendance/Absences
Please remember that medically related absences (illness or appointments) can only be excused if a doctor’s note is received by the school or the student was dismissed by the nurse. Calling your student out sick to the nurse does not excuse their absence. Protocol for Exclusion of Ill Student
Covid Vaccine Clinic - This month’s covid vaccine clinic is April 11th from 3-6pm, at the middle school cafeteria. Walk-ins are welcome.
TICKS- As the weather warms and we spend more time outdoors, ticks will be out again, too. Please check yourself and your children for ticks after playing outside in grassy, brushy, or wooded areas. Remove any attached ticks as soon as possible. For more information on ticks and tick prevention, go to: www.mass.gov/service-details/tick-borne-disease-information-for-the-public
COUGH/THROAT DROPS- Cough drops are not safe for elementary students to have at school. Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle to drink during the day.
