Valentine’s Day- Wednesday, February 14th, we welcome students bringing in Valentine’s cards to hand out to friends in the classroom. Classroom teachers will have a designated time at the end of the day for exchanging and opening Valentine’s. Guidance from our Wellness Policy does not support traditional parties that include food and snacks. However, if you would like to send a special snack for your own child to enjoy, that is absolutely fine. As a reminder, the characteristic trait we focus on during the month of February is FRIENDSHIP. Although we don’t expect everyone to be friends, we do expect that everyone will be kind to one another.
2. Play It Forward- Please feel free to drop off gently used sporting gear to the TES office anytime! See flyer for more information.
3. Assessment Data- Students have just completed their MOY (Middle of year) STAR assessment for reading and math, as well as DIBELS testing in grades K-3. Early Literacy letters with updated information on whether your child will be receiving literacy interventions will be sent home next week. If you ever have any questions on how your child is doing, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
4. Cheer Camp- Don’t forget to submit your forms by February 14th if your child plans on attending the February vacation camp!
5. Spring Baseball- Registration is open for Narragansett Youth Baseball! Please see information posted below!
