Warrior Welcome Academy - Tuesday, August 22nd (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) @ NRHS
Attention Incoming Grade 8 Students to NRHS!
Warrior Academy is a longstanding 'Gansett tradition. This program aims to develop a sense of community among students entering the high school and to support students in getting to know the physical building, administration, class locations, upperclassmen, and their fellow peers. Warrior Academy student leaders (peer leaders) create connections so that younger and new students have an ongoing peer resource for questions throughout the year.
This orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 22nd from 8:00am to 12:00pm as a way for 8th graders as well as any new students to acclimate to Narragansett Regional High School.
Peer Leaders will facilitate fun events, team building activities, informational sessions, and introductions. Examples of activities include:
- Team building activities
- Pizza lunch/social for 8th graders, new students and peer leaders
- Academic/extracurricular information sessions for grade 8 and new students & families
- Early access to our school counselors
All students need to RSVP to attend this event. On this form, 8th grade and new students will indicate if they would like free pizza for lunch and ALL students attending will choose what size they would like their 2023 "Warrior Academy" official T-shirt to be ordered.
To be registered for this event, all forms must be completed by 9:00 PM, Friday, August 11th. Please complete this form ASAP so we can plan in advance for your participation!

Hello 'Gansett Families!
Our community has an amazing opportunity to welcome and host 28 students from Spain this coming September for 18 days. These students are visiting the USA to learn about our culture, history, and visit some important sites in Massachusetts. They are staying in the Narragansett community and will be placed in homes with students of similar ages and interests. The visiting students speak English and are looking forward to making lasting friendships with their hosts!
The requirements for hosting are included on this flyer, and a snapshot of all incoming students is listed as well. Please consider applying and representing the hospitality of our community.
