Principal’s Flyer #25: February 12, 2023
Dear Warrior Students & Families:
We hope this email finds you well and enjoying a glorious Super Bowl Sunday. Today we’re sending kudos to our Theater Guild students, who put on Macbeth performances this weekend. These performances are quite the undertaking, and we’re glad to see our performing arts programming begin to regain momentum. Thank you to our students for having the courage to get up there and perform, to Theater Guild advisor Mr. Garrett Schlundt, our volunteers for helping supervise and prepare the performance, and thanks to everyone who attended the performances. Please find photos of the performances below.

Celebrating Warrior Scholars: Student Math & ELA Growth |
Last week we shared with you our students who have earned Principal’s List and Honor roll accolades for Term 2. This week we are pleased to announce that we have several hundred NRHS students who have shown marked growth in their mid-year star academic testing for Math and English. Star is a tool we use to check in on how students are progressing academically. Please stay tuned to Warrior News this week as we will announce raffle prize winners, pulled from the many, many students working hard on our Math and English Language Arts assessments. Great job to our Warriors for your hard work! When you return from February vacation we’ll share with you further progress updates.
Exciting News: New ‘Gansett Website & Application (Friday) |
As you may have noticed from Dr. Casavant’s February 6th letter and/or our memo last week, our new District & School website is set to go live this coming Friday, February 17th. Be on the lookout for communication on that website. We have sought community feedback on this site, and we’re very hopeful that you will find our new site layout and application extremely helpful in staying informed on all things Warrior Nation. Here are just a few reminders:
Our site will go live on Friday, February 17th
As part of this updated system, the district will have an application that you can use for all news NRSD, including alerts, daily news, weekly memos, athletics, etc.
Per your feedback, we are looking to make information as accessible as possible in one place for ease of use and in a way that’s MOBILE friendly.
Please know that we will continue to send information via our current medium (memos and the existing Principal’s Facebook) both leading up to and beyond the 17th so that everyone has an abundance of time to get comfortable with the new information.
NRHS will be migrating our official Facebook page as of February 17th as well, and we will post all information you need on our existing pages so that all students and families know exactly where to find everything you need.
Finally, Warrior News videos with Ashley and Kayla will continue to be posted regularly.
