Principal’s Flyer #27: March 2, 2025

Dear Students & Families:

Welcome to March!  In addition to the winter athletics seasons either wrapping up or continuing in the playoffs, I can’t help but notice longer days and more birds chirping as we hopefully notice more and more signs of the impending spring.  We may even get a stretch of spring-like weather (let’s hope!) this week.  We are full steam ahead with not only athletics  but a number of program signups and informational sessions ongoing right now.  Best of luck to our girls varsity co-op hockey team, which beat Scituate last night and continues tournament play today against Westwood in Canton!  We’re also looking forward to our Varsity Girls playing at Douglas High School (after a strong win against Rockport) this Wednesday against Douglas in tournament hoops…and in case you missed it last week, kudos also to Jordan Baumann, who has set the school record last week at the pentathlon.  Who’d Jordan claim the record from?  Our very own esteemed teacher coach and alum, Coach Ben Gagnon.  And never least, at the writing of this memo, good luck to our League Champion Cheer Team, which is competing at Central Mass Regionals today!  Stay tuned for updates online, and let’s keep it going scholastically and athletically, Warriors!

Huge thank you to the many businesses and organizations that supported our 1st annual Health and Wellness Fair last Thursday (2/27).   At the fair we had over a dozen community partners help our 9th and 10th graders explore health services and careers and offer guidance on promoting healthy life choices.  We are deeply appreciative to everyone who supported this event…and to our staff for volunteer supervision, our 9th and 10th students for excellent engagement, and to Ms. Katie Verville for spearheading this outstanding event!

Finally, students and families are advised that Monday, March 3rd is our Term 3 progress reports.  Please make sure to check the portal at the end of the day on Monday to catch a snapshot of how you/your student is doing thus far Term 3.   Reminder: you can login to the community portal here, and Friday, March 7th is half day for students (dismissal @ 11:10 AM).
