Principal’s Flyer #19: January 1, 2025
Dear Students & Families:
Happy New Year! We are pleased to have students back in the building on Thursday and Friday, for an abbreviated week welcoming everyone to the new year. Given the short week, our memo this week will also be brief. That said, we’d like to thank Varsity Letterman’s Club and our staff for the Holiday Bingo and fun student workshops to close out or week/calendar year, to our senior community members and student volunteers for coming out to the NRSD’s Senior Citizen Luncheon, and to our Student Council for helping close out our calendar year last year with tremendous school spirit given the resulting end-of-year spirit days. Events like this make a school special, and we are fortunate to have staff and students put tremendous energy into providing the types of events that help make our school a vibrant one.
Thursday and Friday return us to a full day schedule this week, and students, save the date for two dances on the winter horizon: we’ll have a Winter Wonderland Dance on January 24th, and an 8th Grade Winter Dance on, you guessed it, Valentine’s Day on February 14th. One last quick but important yearbook reminder Senior families: don’t forget to upload yearbook photos to our yearbook site. You received a reminder email on New Year’s Eve (12:00 PM).
We’d like to celebrate Jacob Pervier, who qualified for states in the 50 free and 100 freestyle in his first meet and our MVP Students whose ongoing work has our program close to opening up a new site on Westminster Street in Fitchburg. Take a look at the progress our students are making the worksite operational. And lastly, check the Theater Guild’s trip into Boston to see the performance Six as inspiration for our own upcoming Musical, The Little Mermaid. Kudos to these students, and welcome back to school in 2025 everyone.

A reminder that as a result of expanding opportunities provided by our partners at Heywood, students will now be able to see a Nurse Practitioner via zoom with the assistance of our high school nurses. No copays are required for families. If needed, a nurse practitioner can also send prescriptions to the pharmacy for students.
Please see this important flyer for further information. Families may also reach out and ask a nurse!
Important Reminders & Events At-A-Glance |
