Principal’s Flyer #16: December 1, 2024
Dear Students & Families:
Welcome to December! We sincerely hope you had an outstanding Thanksgiving recess and were able to recharge your batteries in the midst of a busy holiday season kickoff. In case you missed the Turkey Bowl competition, we congratulate our players on winning our 51st Annual Thanksgiving Day Game this past Thursday against Murdock. Bravo to our players for being competitive and having fun out there, and special congratulations goes out to senior Kaeden McCullough winning the award for offensive player of the game, senior Justin Desmarais for defensive player of the game, and senior Sean Kelly for winning the sportsmanship award. Additionally, big thanks to our District League Champion Cheerleaders for combining with Murdock Cheer to make this game special, even if Mother Nature made both the players and the fans earn it on Thursday!
Special thank you also to Student Council for Coordinating an outstanding spirit week and Varsity Letterman’s Club for coordinating Pep Rally on Wednesday, which included a Faculty & Student Unified Hoops game, a “Macy’s Day Senior Float Parade”, and the usual super fun, and uber competitive pep rally games! We LOVE how competitive this gets…Thank you to our students and staff for participating and cheering one another on. And ultimately, we sincerely hope your Turkey didn’t give you THIS much trouble getting in the oven!
Looking at the week and month ahead, thanks for staying in touch with our weekly updates and social media posts in order to keep up with the busy holiday season! We’re grateful to our staff, students and families heading into December; we had strong participation at our conferences (thank you families for the positive feedback) and great turnout for our Narragansett High School and Fitchburg State University Financial Aid Night.
