Principal’s Flyer #15: November 24, 2024

Dear Students & Families:

Congratulations to all participants in the reading of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol yesterday evening.  Thanks for supporting the Narragansett Theater Guild!  Speaking of holiday spirit, in honor of our upcoming Thanksgiving break, students: here’s your holiday spirit week!  And if you’re looking for more performance over the coming months, please save the date for our Narragansett Holiday Concert, which will be held Thursday, December 12th @ 6:30 PM in Safka Auditorium and features the Middle and High School Concert Bands.  We hope to see you there!  AND Warriors, don’t forget about Little Mermaid Auditions, coming up the week of December 9th.

Today we’re celebrating 8th grade students Bailey Szoc (Templeton) and Ayden Hamel (Phillipston) as our 2024-2025 Project 351 Youth Ambassadors for their ongoing and potential for leadership, integrity, and character.  Bailey and Ayden were selected for this honor by 8th grade teachers and our counseling team, and will participate in civic service alongside 349 peers from all around Massachusetts.  We look forward to Bailey and Ayden’s ongoing leadership here at NRHS!  Big congratulations to these outstanding student-leaders!

Kudos this week goes out to Early College juniors and seniors who participated in Mount Wachusett Community College’s Annual "What's Your Name? Here's Your Career" event. Each career panelist met with groups of 3-4 students at a time to tell their story about what they do for a living and how they came to their profession and took related questions from students.  Narragansett students spoke to a variety of professionals including firefighters, nurses, veterinarians, the Mayor of Gardner, banking professionals, artists, business owners, and more! There were over 30 career professionals for the students to choose from. Feedback from the students was excellent, so if your child attended, please ask them about it! Bravo to all participating Warriors!
