Principal’s Flyer #14: November 17, 2024
Dear Students & Families:
Last week we celebrated students receiving John and Abigail Adams Scholarship as well as students receiving distinction as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars for their excellence on MCAS and/or AP Exams. Here’s a photo of our senior students at their Scholarship Breakfast, captured here with Superintendent Dr. Casavant and Assistant Superintendent Superchi. Additionally, special congratulations to Madyson Hemlin, who was selected by the Superintendent’s Office for the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents for her academic excellence. Here’s Madyson receiving her award from Dr. Casavant. Your Senior John and Abigail Adams Scholars for 2024 are:
Hunter Barlow, James Cavaleri, Michael Currier, Talia Droz, Alaina Gallagher, Elizabeth Hall, Emma Hebert, Madyson Hemlin, Amanda Iannacone, Alyssa Jennings, Lance Kelley, Sean Kelly, Emily Kilbury, Saya Lantigua, Katherine Longmuir, Kailyn Massicotte, Caitlyn McGuiness, Alexandra Nolin, Tyler Orcutt, Cassidy Paradis, Jacob Pervier, Gavin Richard, Aishlinn Stanley, Ethan Wetherby, Quinn Wiedle, and Mikaela Winslow.
We are again thanking our families and community members for their outstanding participation and generous support for our recent 2024 Turkey Raffle. As Senior Class advisor Ms. Michele Smith wrote your “...generosity and support made this event a tremendous success. We are thrilled to announce that we raised a record-breaking total of $7,291, the highest amount in recent years. This achievement would not have been possible without your donations and commitment to making this event a success.” Thank you to our families, community, and students, advisors, and parent volunteers for setting up our senior class with the resources to have a wonderful senior year and graduation season this upcoming spring!
Kudos goes out this evening to our sophomore Warriors who signed up for a field trip to Mount Wachusett Community College’s Sophomore Career Day. Courtesy of Ms. Katie Donnelly: students learned from various career professionals about what they do for a living and what education they needed to obtain the job that they have. Narraganset’s own school psychologist, Mr. Andrew Nickerson, served on one of the panels that students were able to hear from. Bravo to these sophomores for looking ahead and opportunities that await them, and thank you Ms. Stacey Buckman and Ms. Suann Chapman for coordinating this experience!
Today we’re also spotlighting Myles Willis’s internship work and learning at Graphic Design and Creative Associates. For those of you who like cars, photography, and/or media, you may be jealous. Nice work Myles! Huge Congratulations to our Varsity Cheer Team on being the Central Massachusetts Champions (hot off the presses)! The team is heading to the State Championships! And finally, we’re celebrating a strong season by our Warriors Varsity football. The team took on a tough Randolph team away last Friday night. Just in case you missed this outstanding team this year (or did not), good news: Warriors play Murdock High School at home on Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28th on Arthur L. Stuart field @ 10:00 AM. Consider coming out, these games are always a glorious way to kick-off Thanksgiving Day!
