Principal’s Flyer #5: September 15, 2024

Dear Students & Families:

Thank you to Varsity Letterman’s Club for sponsoring an outstanding homecoming week filled with school spirit days; an amazing pep rally; and a weekend of disco fever homecoming dance, awesome games and activities and food at Warrior Fest capped with a Warriors Saturday Night Lights football win (great game!) and fireworks.  Given the scale of this event, there are always too many people to thank for making this happen, but we’d like to acknowledge a few: tremendous thanks to Ms. Erin O’Dea and Ms. Lauren Caouette for coordinating Homecoming week and Warrior Fest, who plan this event tirelessly for about a year prior to the event itself.

Thank you to our Class and Club Advisors for running games and booths.  Thank you to our parent volunteers, boosters, and vendors for setting up Warrior Fest booths and for making the afternoon a vibrant one.  Thank you to Athletic Director Brad Bond and Ms. Ann Lyons for coordinating athletics and outreach, and to the CERT team, police and fire departments for supporting the many logistics of everything from parking to fireworks approval and public safety.  A special thank you to the CERT team for parking Warrior Fest attendees anywhere and everywhere safely given the incredibly strong turnout this weekend.

Finally, thank you to our students, staff, alums, and community members for showing up to celebrate glorious Saturday together.  Our student conduct and support from families continue to be outstanding. Seeing everything from our staff getting into the spirit of events, to partnerships with parents over fun activities, our cheer and football teams on the field, and little kids/Warriors rolling down the hill or cheering during the fireworks..it all makes for a great night at NRSD and in the community.   Click the links above for videos/photos taken/sent our way.  Thanks again to everyone involved for making for a great community event.  You are sincerely appreciated.
