Principal’s Flyer #23: January 28, 2024
Dear Students & Families:
We hope you’re the weekend and staying warm and safe with continuing inclement weather. As always, when we deal with wintry weather, we appreciate everyone staying tuned to our all call system, social media, and/or major media outlets should we need to make any adjustments to the school schedule. Please be reminded that Report cards for Term 2 (Semester 1) are available now in the student/parent (community) portal. Thank you to our students for taking MOY Star exams earnestly. All students who have not yet taken a literacy and math assessments will make those up this week on Tuesday (English) and Wednesday (Math). Also, a reminder to all that this Friday (2/2) is a half day for students with dismissal at 11:10 AM.
At the top of this memo, we’d like to highlight a unique opportunity that is going to be available for our Juniors and Seniors this winter. GFA’s Credit for Life Realty Fair will take place for 11th and 12th graders on February 14th. Students will participate in more than a dozen real-world seminars, activities, and talks that help prepare them to manage (financial) responsibilities they will encounter as adults. Major kudos to Ms. Chapman, who is organizing this event with our partners at GFA. For more information on this upcoming event, refer to this poster.
