Dear Students & Families:

We hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend with a downright balmy (hot?) weekend!  Special thanks goes out to Class of 2025, Ms. Smith and all volunteers for putting together the third annual Trunk or Treat yesterday!  We appreciate all of our volunteers and staff making the time during a very busy season to put this fun event together to benefit our community and families!  In addition to the photos on social media, here are just a couple, including our student-run Haunted House, which was a new addition to Trunk or Treat Festivities this year.  An NRHS tradition, the Senior Costume parade will take place this Tuesday for Seniors, but all students are encouraged to enjoy the festivities this week with a full spirit week! All students are encouraged to check out this poster for spirit week details.

Finally, we are very much looking forward to upcoming playoffs and tournaments for athletics.  Please click here to see MIAA Team Power Rankings and Tournament Information.  Congratulations to our Cross Country team, which participated in “Leagues” this Saturday, and stay tuned for state tournament information via our Gansett Athletic social media and website.   Finally, we’re reminding everyone that you will find all information easily accessible through our Narragansett Social Media App, which is a one-stop social media stop for all communication, updates, and all things NRSD Warriors!

Powder Puff Football, November 15th! 

If you’re not aware of our Annual Powder Puff Football event…you should be!  This NRHS tradition pits the Lady Warriors senior athletes against our junior athletes in a highly competitive flag football game, coached, reffed, and cheered by some of your NRSD fan favorites.  This year’s game will be held on Wednesday, November 15th @ 6:00 PM.  Stay tuned to social media and our weekly updates for the annual Powder Puff poster containing additional ticket information.  Special thanks goes out to Varsity Letterman’s Club and Gansett Athletics for sponsoring this event. 

At-A-Glance Reminders

  • Reminder Students:  Term 1 closes on Wednesday, November 1st 

    • We run late buses Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

    • All teachers have office hours, just ask if you don’t know them. 

  • Turkey Raffle Fall 2024!  The NRHS Class of 2024 is holding a turkey raffle on November 17th, 2023 @ 6:00 PM at the American Legion Post 373 in Baldwinville.  We hope you’ll come out to this fun event that supports senior class activities.

  • Check our friends at the Gardner Museum on TV! The Chronicle “Main Streets and Back Roads of the Mohawk Trail” episode will air this MONDAY, OCTOBER 30 at 7:30 PM on WCVB ABC TV Channel 5.

    • The show will be posted online after broadcast at this address  wcvb.com/chronicle   

Concluding this week’s memo, we’d also like to shout out all our Warriors who toured UMASS Amherst on Monday of last week.  With Early Action/Decision deadlines coming up quickly (Nov 1st for some schools), kudos to all Warriors who are thinking about College and Career choices early in their High School careers.  Thank you to Ms. Donnelly and Ms. Jasinski for making this trip happen.  Additionally, shout out to our AP Calculus students who showed up for Saturday session last week and were engaged and dedicated to excellence in one of the most challenging classes available to high school students, AP Calculus.  Way to demonstrate academic grit, Warriors!
