Principal’s Flyer #6: September 24, 2023
Dear Students & Families:
We hope you’re enjoying a rainy Sunday afternoon and find the cooler fall temperatures invigorating now that we are, as of this weekend, officially in fall. To start this week’s memo, we’d like to shout out all of our grade 8-12 students. Our students are setting a very positive cultural tone this year…and it’s apparent when attending a school event, walking the halls, or talking with students in the lunchroom. Warriors - you’re really off to a strong start this year. Keep up the good work! For all of our students, as well as family and friends that have been coming out to our events thus far this year, THANK YOU. Your participation is what makes a school a school. Check out a couple photos from Friday Night Lights (nice win Varsity football). Here’s what an awesome student section, great fans, cheerleaders, and families look like at ‘Gansett on Friday Night!
At the top of this memo, we’d also like to thank our Athletic Director, Mr. Bond as well as our facilities team and coaches for making things work during a very rainy season. As you’re well aware, excessive rain, flooding, and uncertain forecasts make scheduling athletics and preserving fields require triple the effort and diligence. Thank you to all, and to our families for making seasonal athletics work despite weather-imposed obstacles.
Warrior Fest, Save the Date! October 21, 2023 |
Varsity Letterman’s Club puts on a major district wide event known as Warrior Fest. VLC brings out food trucks, games and activities for kids, capped with an evening home Saturday night football game and professional fireworks display sponsored by VLC/NRSD.
Don’t forget this is an open event, bring family and friends.
Big thanks to Ms. O’Dea and Ms. Caouette for organizing this huge undertaking
Unified Sports Sponsored by NRSD & Special Olympics |

Not only are Unified Sports matches both exciting and competitive, they are incredibly well supported by our student body in both crowd attendance and supporting athletes. Here’s our upcoming schedule for our upcoming fall season of Unified Basketball.
