Principal’s Flyer #39: June 4, 2023

Dear Warrior Students & Families:

Congratulations to our Class of 2023!  Friday evening marked the official commencement ceremony for the Class of 2023, and the well-deserved graduation celebration for our graduation.  We hope this chilly June weekend has been enjoyable for all, and that all students have a sense that summer is around the corner.   With our graduation ceremony for 2023 in the books, we’d like to thank the many people involved in coordinating the many events for our senior class.  The sheer number and quality of events put on for seniors and the students widely during graduation season is somewhat unique to Narragansett.  Since “GAAP” Prom Safety Day; NRHS staff, parents, and our partners in the community brought students Prom, the Washington DC Trip, Senior Class day trip, Honors Induction, the NRHS Spring Concert, Senior Giveback Day, Memorial Day Community Observance, VLC all-school rally, an optional Baccalaureate, Senior Banquet, Awards & Scholarship Night, and Family Chicken BBQ in the midst of MCAS and Advanced Placement testing.

Thank you to all class advisors, and especially Ms. Lyons and Ms. Buckman for coordinating a wonderful senior week.  Thank you to our junior advisors and students, Mr. Wightman and Mr. Donofrio for the outstanding decoration of gymnasium and halls for graduation.  Thank you to our seniors for their strong work making our school sparkle in advance of Senior week, to Ms. Smith for helping keep our graduation rehearsals beautiful, to our partners in the town Police and Fire departments for safeguarding our students.  Finally, thank you again to every family member, K-12 staff member, mentor, and/or community member who has had a role in getting our students over the proverbial finish line.  The sustained effort it takes to support and celebrate our students is never taken for granted.  Thank you all, and congratulations to the Class of 2023!
