NMS has a culture of continuous improvement--improvement in every aspect of teaching & learning and the student experience in order to support students being productive at their highest levels. We are in the business of student achievement and building a positive school culture--these are the only agendas at NMS that count!
Thursday, December 5 was our first snow day of the year!
When we have snow days at NMS, whatever "Day" (of our A through G Day rotation) was scheduled to occur is SKIPPED over and the returning day is whatever day it was always scheduled to be. This is done to preserve meeting times and availability of people with many complex schedules that must be coordinated constantly. To make changes would cause a domino effect that impacts many, many meetings that are often scheduled months in advance. Just check "Next Week @ NMS" (below, and in every memo) to see what any day of the week is, and know that it will remain its scheduled "Day"!
Please claim your lost items!
*Important Deadline: December 20!*
🧥Missing a jacket, sweatshirt, book, water bottle or other item?
Check out the incredibly FULL lost and found! We find it hard to believe no one is missing these items, many of which have been sitting here for WEEKS! There are many found items that have been gathered from the gym, cafeteria, classrooms, and other places around the school.
👉 Any items that are in good repair will be donated if not collected by December 20, so don't delay in checking it!
Inclement weather, snow / ice delays and cancellations will be sent by the district when decisions about school have been made and you will receive automated calls and texts. Please be sure your most updated contact information is on file with the schools. Posts will also be made on the Narragansett Regional School District's Facebook page. Snow days will impact the last day of school, which will be noted in Important Dates & Reminders, below, as well as being listed in the Events section of the NMS website.
