🐠🐡🐙 7th Grade Marine Life Project! During Ecology School week, 7th Graders in Ms.Octopus Latka's Science classes here at school took park in a marine Life Research Project. Students planned, designed, and built their marine animal out of various materials for their armatures (structures), covered them in paper mache, ad decorated them using acrylic paint. The second part of the project involved students becoming experts about their animal as they created a slideshow presentation to share with th class at the end of the week. Students focused on characteristics about the animal, role it has in the ecosystem, and identified organisms that would be impacted if it were suddenly removed from the food web. Students also researched ways humans are negatively impacting its population and what we as individuals and a society can do to help the marine animal. Click here to see pictures of the projects!

💦⚽️ Field days and field trips were held in the last weeks of school!  Each grade spent a great day out on the fields enjoying the last week of school with inflatables, games, and friendly competitions.  Thank you to the team-level staff of teachers and paraprofessionals for their work in organizing and running these awesome activities!  They were a great way to wrap up a great school year!  Click here to see some pictures from field days / trips.
