 What's New This Week!

📆 Please note the change to the school calendar with our EIGHTH snow day of the year!  Day 180 of the school year, the last day of school, is now on Monday, June 26th (no school on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth).  Check out Important Dates & Reminders below!

👉 Teacher Conferences will be held April 12 and 13, which will both be half days for students to accommodate afternoon conference sessions.  You are encouraged to make an appointment during the conference window (first conferences begin at 11:45 and the last appointment is 2:15 p.m.; please note there are no evening Spring conferences.  Conference sign ups will be available starting on March 31, and will close at midnight on Sunday, April 10.   Instructions and a link to make an appointment for a teacher conference can be found here.  Because report cards will NOT be out before conferences due to the snow day pushback (Term 3 closing later), please be sure you are keeping on top of student progress in the School Brains platform!

🏐 Intramurals!    Intramural Volleyball was scheduled to start this past Tuesday, March 14 but due to the snow days, began on Thursday, March 16.  Intramurals will play Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until 2:50.  Participating students should have a ride waiting or plan to take the late bus.  End dates for intramural volleyball will be shared as soon as the snow day adjustment is made.

🖼 NMS 6th Graders traveled to the Worcester Art Museum on Friday, March 17!  Thank you to all of our volunteer chaperones who helped make this field trip a success!  Thanks, too, to the 6th Grade Team and Mrs. Dupuis for their work in organizing this exciting opportunity!  Stay tuned for pics in next week's memo!

💻 MCAS testing is almost here!  MCAS will begin on April 3 and go through mid-May.  All grades, 5-7 will take two sessions each of ELA and  math, and 5th grade only will also take two sessions of science. Please be especially mindful of unnecessary absences  during this six-week time, as the windows assigned by the state are limited in what make up time we have. All test dates have been finalized and can be found on the calendar below.  Any changes will be  updated.
