What's New This Week!

🎤  Narragansett Middle School was treated to a wonderful presentation on Friday morning, March 3, by guest speaker, Mr. David Flood.  Mr. Flood (shown, left) speaks on several topics, including "The Power of Dignity, Respect, and Compassion", engaging students and sharing stories that emphasize the importance of inclusion, empathy, and "showing up" for others.   Click here for his website, where you can read highlights of the spirit of his messages.

📆 Please note the change to the school calendar with our SIXTH snow day of the year!  Day 180, the last day of school, is now on Thursday, June 22nd (no school on Monday, June  19th in observance of Juneteenth). Check out Important  Dates & Reminders below!

👉 Remember that Friday, March 10 (next Friday) is a HALF DAY of school for students with dismissal at 11:10 a.m.!  Faculty and staff have an afternoon of professional development.

🏀 More Images from the Student vs. Faculty Basketball Game on February 17!

On Friday, February 17, NMS students were treated to a competitive match up as players from the Girls and Boys NMS Basketball teams challenged members of the NMS Staff to a game.  Thank you to all NMS players and staff for putting on a great show.  Thank you to Mr. Deacon and Mr. Dufour for organizing and setting up this event!

In Case You Missed It...Here's the Recap!

🖍Please consider donating to Cradles to Crayons and support our local Project 351 selectees!

Two former Narragansett Middle School students, and current NMHS 8th graders William Maguy (Phillipston) and Kelly Taylor (Templeton), are representatives of Narragansett’s member towns to the annual “Project 351”.   Students complete projects to promote civic responsibility and community-minded service as the year progresses, and we’re supporting that by asking for our school community to donate to Cradles to Crayons, an organization that works to fight children’s clothing insecurity. Please drop your donations in the Cradles to Crayons box in the NMS or NRHS lobby.  Check out the Project 351 Facebook page and click here to read a short letter about the service project from NRSD Project 351 Ambassador, Kelly Taylor!

Project 351 attendees show their love in this "35OneLove" group photo, above (from the Project 351 Facebook page).
